Full Tour Description

The tour starts with the Giralda, the bell tower for the Cathedral and a World Heritgage Site. This is perhaps one of the most important iconic symbols of the city and as you climb to the top for the magnificent views your guide recounts this history of the remarkable Almohad minaret. From there a short walk takes you to the Cathedral of Seville. Construction began in the 14th Century and continued well into the 16th Century, lavishly decorated and big enough to take several smaller churches inside and not to be missed the 45 scenes of Christ intricately carved into wooden panels an outstanding example of Retablo and a lifetimes work for one single craftsman.

Next take a guided tour inside The Royal Palace Alcazar of Seville and gardens. The Palace is one of finest examples of Mudejar architecture and is still an official residence for the Spanish Royal Family. Over the centuries various Kings have extended the Palace and the architecture reflects an amazing mix of Gothic and Islamic styles. The tour finishes with a wonderful horse & carriage ride through the meandering streets of the Maria Luisa Park and the Plaza de Espana.
